www.jayarama.us/archives/bsreg.txt Bhakti-sastri Course Announcement by Hanumatpresaka Swami It is so nice that VEDAS, the NIOS and ISKCON approved educational group in Peru, has finished its first cycle. Central to this has been study and testing for the ISKCON Bhakti-sastri certificate. Now that the second cycle begins we would like to offer ourselves as professors for teaching this Bhakti-sastri level course and also for the corresponding NIOS certificate in world classical literature. Primarily we are traveling so our students would have to be able to work with us through internet, telephone and regular occasional meetings. Our Calendar is negotiable but books are the basis. The back bone of our curriculum is Rupa-siksa, the Instructions of Rupa Goswami, Upadesamrta, Bhakti-rasamrta Sindhu and Vidagdha and Lalita Madhava. We are developing this delightful column from Primary to Secondary to Bachelor to Master and to Doctorate level. Our Primary study includes: Light of the Bhagavata, The biography of it's author Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Biography of Sri Krsna-caitanya Mahaprabhu and The Upadesamrta of Srila Rupa Goswami. For this Secondary or Bhakti-sastri degree we will continue with the above classics in more depth and expand our studies to the Iso and Gita Upanishads and the Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu of Srila Rupa Goswami. We plan to accept at most five students and we can set our exact Calendar and Evaluation schemes by consultation amongst ourselves. In general, however, we will finish the Bhakti sastri studies within two years starting 2009 March 11, the day after Gaura-purnima. Students must read all the books mentioned above, develope their own notebooks and processes of continuous literature review, and most important demonstrate that they have captured lifelong association to continue learning and teaching this wonderful curriculum to others. With V.E.D.A.S, our Anjana Suta Academy and NIOS we will define an exact universal testing standard to include such basic skills as recitation of Gita verses etc. Please write to enquire about registration at: jayarama108-bsreg@yahoo.com Your servant, Hanumatpresaka Swami (Huber Hutchin Robinson)
